The 2024 total solar eclipse was an amazing and powerful event to witness. There will not be another one like it in North America for a very long time. I am lucky enough to live driving distance from the path of totality and took the day off to drive to Erie for the eclipse. Standing on Presque Isle with a crowd of like minded watchers as the sun was completely covered was a truly unique celestial experience I will never forget. Even the 12 hour drive home, 4 hours longer than it should be, could not dampen the wonder and awe that it instilled in me.
